Learning through Form, Pattern and Nature — a school program by Varaaz Arts, Sarvam Ekam and Karu
In this story
Your child can recite the definition of symmetry — but can they find it in a leaf? They learn about soil in a science chapter — but have they ever held a handful of it?
Most school learning uses only one part of the child: memory. Read it, remember it, write it in the exam — and soon, much of it fades.
Whole-brain learning is different. The child thinks with the head, feels with the heart and makes with the hands — all in the same lesson. When all three work together, learning stays.
That is why three of us came together — to bring this kind of learning into schools.

Through mandalas, triangle numbers, magic squares, star shapes, hexagons, string art and the labyrinth, the angles, number patterns and symmetry from the maths textbook become something children can build and see. Geometry becomes a doorway into maths, logic and design.
When the hand draws, the mind understands.
Led by Jayanthi Vijayan, founder of Sarvam Ekam
Before children learn abstract ideas, they need to feel them in their hands and bodies. A Waldorf-trained educator, Jayanthi uses form drawing — flowing lines, circles, spirals and mirror shapes — to build attention, hand–eye coordination and the early language of maths. A Grade 1 child begins with "I notice form." By Grade 5: "I connect form, system and environment."

The farm becomes a living classroom. Children watch a seed become a fruit, make garden beds and compost, follow the seasons, meet the pollinators and plan water channels. Most of all, they learn their own place in nature — and to act with care and purpose.
Here is how the three come together. A child notices the pattern in a leaf. They draw it. They measure it. They find the symmetry in it. They connect it to a maths idea from class. Then they go back to the garden — and see nature with sharper eyes.
Experience → Observe → Draw → Question → Connect → Apply → Create
Learning this way, the subjects stop feeling separate. Maths, science, art and nature become one connected story.
To be clear about what this is not: it does not replace the school syllabus, and it is not another period added to a busy timetable.
It deepens what children are already studying — whether CBSE or another board. The same topics from their textbooks come alive through drawing, making, measuring and time outdoors.
A classroom's work, laid out like an exhibition.
For the school, it means a clear, connected journey from Grade 1 to Grade 10 — and for teachers, ready activity ideas linked to their own chapters.
Children grow in stages, and the program grows with them:
From form → to pattern → to relationship → to system → to life.
Head, heart and hands — learning as one.
Some lessons cannot be taught from a worksheet. They have to be lived — the quiet when a pattern comes together on paper, the surprise of finding that same pattern in a sunflower.
Where Sacred Geometry meets Art Therapy, the mind finds balance and the soul remembers itself.
For Principals, Teachers & Parents
We are now inviting a small number of schools to bring this program to their students. Write to us and we will show you how it can fit your school's timetable.
